The 2nd European Vision Council
Report
Westmalle,
Belgium
Resonant Moon
Year Of White Spectral Wizard

This years Vision Council was very different from last years.
Whilst the first Vision Council had more diverse representation from more
European Countries, the second was more focused and concentrated.
The mood was also different, last year we had the joy of co-creating the
first major gathering of bioregional PANs in Europe, of expanding and
discovering our kin family. This year, the Calendar Change was our central
focus.
The
location in Westmalle, Belgium- kindly facilitated by the kin of PAN-Dromeda,
was excellent. About 50 kin formed the circle and everyone fully participated.
All decisions were taken by consensus and the quality of attention and
focus in the circle was very high. There were representatives from the
bioregional PANs of Belgium, Holland, Italy, U.K., Germany, Hungary, and
Portugal amongst others in attendance.
The first subject for discussion was the co-operative creation of free
calendars. Last year we decided to create the Universal Calendar together.
This is an art calendar that contains only pictures and the symbols of
the synchronic order. It is accompanied by an explanatory text that has
been translated into many different European languages. This allowed us
to print economically one calendar that could then be distributed throughout
Europe.
This
has been successful, but has also brought much learning. Calendar distribution-
for a new calendar with a different start date from the already existing
one- is uncharted territory and brings new challenges. We have now established
decent distribution channels for the Universal Calendar and because of the
increasing popularity of the 13 Moon Calendar it is selling as well 7 moons
into the year as bit was at the beginning. It is, however, not easy to convince
some retailers of this.
These lessons have led us to seeing that one of the core activities of PAN
is essentially the free- or by donation- distribution of calendars and that
this year we have to take on directly the challenge of making the calendar
change explicable to as many people as possible.
To best facilitate this we have decided to create two calendars for the
year of the Great Calendar Change, Blue Crystal Storm. The first one will
be a planetary calendar. This will be a very simple and straightforward
13 Moon Calendar that will include an introduction and explanation of why
and how to use the calendar. It will not, however, contain the synchronic
codes of the 13:20 order of time. This calendar will be targeted for mass
distribution and several magazines will be approached about including it
as a cover mount. The goal of this calendar is to do something we haven't
achieved before: to communicate the importance of calendar reform as an
urgent environmental and social issue in plain, rational language that everyone
can understand.
Of course, many people are also open to being introduced to the synchronic
codes of time, so a second galactic calendar containing the 13:20 order
will also be printed. This will allow us, it was felt, the best possible
chance of reaching as many people as possible. It was also agreed that both
calendars will be made available as downloadable versions.
The
production of the Universal Calendar and other tools will also continue,
but the free calendars will be a central Planet Art Network focus for fundraising
and distribution.
The second decision taken by consensus was to back the International Festival
of Peace being proposed by PAN UK for the Day Out Of Time. The purpose of
this event, which will be held on the Greenwich Meridian- the current planetary
timeline- will be to highlight the issue of calendar change in a way that
can engage the world's media interest. It will not be a replacement for
individual bioregional Day Out Of Time celebrations, but it will be supported
by PAN Europe as a single and unifying focus. If you wish to participate
in the creation of this event, please contact PAN UK through www.wavespell.net.
The third session focused on Education and particularly Children's Education
and a range of ideas and solutions were proposed and discussed. A concise
summing up of this could be simplification and more simplification.
In fact, we have had to create a new word to describe the nature of the
calendar: simplex. That is something that looks complex, but is actually
simple.
The shamanic spirit of the Vision Council was very strong and manifested
in the form of inspired drumming circles and dancing. The growing bonds
between us as people was also great to experience. The vision circles are
becoming the nervous system of the Planet Art Network and the visions of
community, consensus and collective action that are woven in them are becoming
the fabric of our dream of living in the New Time.
Many thanks to the kin of PAN-Dromeda for hosting. this gathering, also
to PAN UR for their facilitation, everyone at Westmalle and De Ritten and
, of course, all of the kin who came for making it happen.
One Time. One People. One Planet.
